RARE CHROMED VERSION OF THE LOTA BOWL EFFECT!We cannot find another one available on the Internet. From the estate of a retired professional magician.
The Lota Bowl is a classic and still very popular "endless water" effect. Aldini was a noted magician and magic inventor in the mid-20th century. This is Aldini's version of the Lota Bowl.
THE EFFECT: Start by pouring all the water out of this small chromed bowl-shaped vase. Even though the vase seems now completely empty, you can magically "refill" it- and pour a quantity of MORE liquid out of it! And you can repeat this several times! Where is the water coming from??
This particular bowl is a nice, compact size, easy to see from the stage or club, but also easy to pack and transport. The bowl has a nice chromed finish on the outside, and the inside is a warm golden color- really attractive. The bowl is about 4" high and 4" across. It probably holds about 8 ounces of water, enough for several good-sized pours.
Aldini was an American magician, author and inventor of several well-known magic effects. He started his performing career early on, first as an amateur at age 12, building to a successful career as a club magician, specializing in his own unique style of comedy magic. He invented several effects for his show which he then marketed to other magicians, including his Aldini Bowl Production, which is still popular today. From 1956 until his retirement in 1978, Aldini was manager for a number of magic shops, and operated the Disneyland magic shops as well.
