Al Minder was a semi-professional magician with a unique comedy act called "The Man With the Lamppost".

During the act, Minder would appear to be extremely and comically drunk, unable to perform simple tasks and slurring his speech with a comic twist. Yet, to his audience's surprise, he could perform the most astounding magical miracles. Of course, he acted as surprised as they were.

Al Minder's terrific act inspired Ken Allen to become a comedy magic performer.
