WHAT A FIND!
This is the original Abbott's Magic Tipsy Turvy Bottles (or sometimes called Topsy Turvy Bottles), highly sought after by collectors.
We could not find another currently for sale on the Internet.
The last one we found sold for $215, though it was a later version in better condition.
A really different version of a popular magic effect!
Both the magician and the spectator hold a tube with a bottle in it.
Though both bottles start in the upright position, as the routine progresses with both participants tipping the tubes upside down and back again, the spectator's bottle is never in the same position as the magician's bottle.
Depending on the performer, this can turn into a hilarious routine.
There is a modern version of this routine called TRICKY BOTTLES.
In fact, we sell three versions at MagicTricks.com.
But this Abbott's version works completely differently- the turning gimmick is built right into the bottles.
And that's what makes the Abbott's version so collectible!
The prop is in good condition for a professionally-used vintage set.
The paper labels, of course, have chipped and yellowed with age.
The paint has also chipped and worn in places.
And one of the bottles has a slight dent the the top.
