Some Tips
If you want to learn how to do an impressive move, this is it. Yes, it takes a lot of practice. Anything worthwhile in magic will take a lot of practice. There are a couple of things you can do to make it easier. First of all, try using a poker chip instead of a coin. It's a nice large size and it has ridged edges which make it easier to palm. Second, practice in short sessions, maybe 5-10 minutes at the most. You need to actually build up the muscle in your hand for real. Longer sessions may cause cramping. It is better to have frequent sessions, maybe 5 a day, then one long session. Third, don't get discouraged. All of a sudden you will find yourself doing this. Once you get it down, you can use any coins, even dimes.
