VERY HARD TO FIND 1997 Ceasar's Palace coin!What is a "SILVER STRIKE" coin?Silver Strikes are Limited Edition silver tokens won from slot machines in a casino. Sometimes they are called "Silver Premium Tokens". These tokens are issued in many casinos throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and on some cruise ships. The coins are specially minted with designs made specifically for certain casinos.The first of these tokens were won from slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992.
$10 strikes have a .999 Silver center insert, with an outer ring of brass.The approximate silver weight is 0.60 troy ounces of silver.
This particular coin is a RARE "CREDIS QUOD" 1997 CAESARS PALACE Silver Strike token.We could not find another one readily for sale on the Internet at present.On one side is the date minted and the Caesar's Palace logo.On the other side is a bearded god with the quote "CREDIS QUOD HABES ET HABES". This means "IF YOU BELIEVE IT IS REAL, IT IS REAL". A perfect coin for a magician!If you are collecting Silver Strikes, you want one minted before 2005 because these are the ones with real silver in the insert.The great thing about collecting these pre-2005 Silver Strikes is that not only do they have value as a casino collectible, with thousands of collectors worldwide, but they have the SILVER value as well, which many experts predict will continue to rise!
