HARD TO FIND COLLECTIBLE!From the estate collection of a professional magician and noted magic collector.
This is a half dollar size metal coin sold by Hank Lee's Magic Factory circa 1986.The coin was made to promote the Boston area business. The coin was intended as a palming coin, as it is thinner than a regular coin and has a reeded edge for easy gripping.
Hank Lee's Magic Factory was one of the largest sources of magic tricks and props for magicians from 1975 until it closed in 2012.Owner Hank Levy was a magic inventor with a big personality, making his business a "go-to" destination for magicians in Boston. He also ran the Magic Conclave, a popular annual magic convention, which is where this coin may have been distributed.
The imprint says "In Hank We Trust".Ironically, in 2012 Levy was sentenced to two years in prison for charging over $560,000 to a regular customers credit card and then misleading investigators when confronted about it.
CONDITION: very good to excellent- looks gently worn. Coin is metal, about the size of a half dollar, but thinner.Has reeded edge.
