A new and different twist- a ZIGZAG quarter illusion!

The effect is simple, but really startling: Take a quarter coin and slide the middle section to one side! Just as easily, slide it back and make the coin whole again!

This seems impossible! You can do it right in front of their noses, close up! You are sure to get an amazing reaction every single time! And it is SO EASY to do! This comes with instructions on DVD so you can see EXACTLY how the trick is done. Best of all, you can repeat the trick immediately, as many times as you want. No re-setting the trick, no sleight of hand. Just incredible responses from your spectators!

Make a whole routine. Do this trick along with the Bite Out Quarter. If you casually switch one coin for the next, you can make it look like you are taking an ordinary coin from your pocket, then taking a bite out of it, then sliding the middle of it to one side, then handing it to your spectator to prove that it is a real coin. Wow!

What you'll get when you buy this trick   Here's what you'll get:

  • one ZAG Coin
  • instructions on DVD
And that's all you need!
It is strongly recommended that you carry and store this coin separately from regular money, in a pouch or a Coin Carrier (available from MagicTricks.com) so that you don't spend it by mistake.

History of this magic effect   History and Trivia:

Is it illegal to use real US coins to make magic tricks? According to the U.S. Treasury F.A.Q., the answer is- No.
It is only illegal to alter a US coin with the intention of spending it as if it were a coin of a different value.
From the official U.S. Treasury website: "Section 331 of Title 18 of the United States code provides criminal penalties for anyone who 'fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the Mints of the United States.' This statute means that you may be violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it [in a monetary transaction in trade for goods or services] to be other than the altered coin that it is. As a matter of policy, the U.S. Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage: however, there are no sanctions against such activity absent fraudulent intent."
