Great graphics on this authentic antique poster for DeLaMano, a 19th century traveling magician. Educated animals, or animals that appeared to count, spell and perform other mental tasks, were a very popular form of entertainment. Poster dates from 1877.

This poster features a popular type of act of the day, the Educated Pig, who could spell, do math, etc.! It is printed in black ink on white stock.

This poster is one of a number discovered hidden in a barn, carefully wrapped in the original printer's invoice dated 1877. The DeLaMano material was found about 15 years ago by Peter Monticup, the owner of MagicTricks.com. A special section on DeLaMano and the discovery of his posters and personal magic items will be featured on this site soon.
