Made early in Thurston's career, this card shows Thurston's understanding of the value of throw-out cards as advertising pieces. Thurston made a great deal of extra money selling dream books, lucky tokens and horoscope books. He also patented an anti-snoring device (he apparently had a passion for a good night's sleep), which he promoted on the back of yet another scaling card.
