Fast to see, and even faster to learn!

A terrific effect that combines several different classic magic illusions into one amazing routine!

You can perform this effect as the Passe-Passe Bottles, the Appearing and Disappearing Bottles, the Multiplying Bottles- or all of these in one routine!

Here's how it goes: Show a bottle and a glass to your audience. Put them on a table and cover each of them with an empty tube. Now the magic begins with the Passe-Passe (position changing) routine! Pick up the covers- the bottle and the glass have changed places! Lower the tubes, and when you raise them again, the glass and bottle have returned to their original positions! You can repeat this as many times as you'd like.

Just when the audience thinks they know what happens next, you lower the tubes, raise them- and now there are two BOTTLES instead of the bottle and the glass!

Remove one of the bottles from the tube, and place it in full view on the table. Lower the tube, lift it, and ANOTHER BOTTLE has appeared in the tube! Repeat this until you have a table full of bottles!

The whole set stores compactly for safe and easy transport. Made of lightweight material for years of troublefree use. Bright labels!

Performance Ideas:

Instead of using a glass and a bottle, start with just one bottle. Use two tubes, one empty and one covering the bottle. You can lift the tubes to show that the bottle has disappeared, then has moved to the other tube, then has multiplied so there is a bottle under each tube.

Here's what you'll get:

  • set of EIGHT Multiplying Bottles
  • two tubes
  • printed instructions

You supply the ordinary drinking glass.
You need two 9" silks if you want to do Monticup's routine as in the demo video.

I love this trick, but for a trick with a price of over $100 the quality is simply not there. Case in point: The labels on the bottles are very poorly installed. The small upper labels are "bubbled up," and when you run your hands over the large labels you here noise indicating that they are not secured well to the bottle. I suspect that with use, the upper labels will start getting torn up a bit. Now perhaps the most aggravating of all: The cylinders are not consistent in size. For example, one of the routines that I have seen that I like entails pulling a bottle out of the top of each cylinder early in the performance supposedly as spares. One of my cylinders apparently has a diameter slightly less than the other. The upshot is, is that out of the properly sized cylinder, you can easily and properly extract the bottle. One the second one, the bottle gets hung up due to the discrepancy in size. It is definitely the cylinder size as opposed to the bottle size in that both large bottles work find in one cylinder and both get hung up in the second. I suppose this is the best one can expect out of China. :( I have no way of knowing if all sets will come this way, but again, I love this trick and if you can be guaranteed a properly fitted set with labels properly applied, I highly recommend getting this one.

Great for the Price
While this set is on the cheaper end of the spectrum (Multiplying Bottles sets usually go for between $200- $500 and sometimes only have five bottles), these still get great reactions. The routine that Peter Monticup shows in his demo is a really good one to use. So thanks for that. The biggest downside of the set is that it has paper labels instead of painted ones. They are prone to getting scratched up after using them a few dozen times. A little tip- just clean off the labels and make your own new set of labels. You can get self stick label sheets at Staples or Office Max. Design a new label and print yourself a set on the label sheets. When those labels start to show wear, just make new ones. Your Bottles will always look fresh. Plus, you have the advantage of being able to make the label say anything you want. You can be creative, you can be funny. There are better versions of this trick out there, but they are a lot more money lot more money. This set will work fine for most magicians and performing situations. The price is certainly right.
