"Cowboy" Hobgood was an American nightclub magician performing in the 1940's. His stage character was a cowboy, and his magic props were all Western-themed.

From the April 8, 1944 Bill Sachs' "Magic" column in Billboard: "Cowboy Harvey Hobgood, Texas trixter now travelling with Dean Hudson and his orchestra put on an impromptu magic show at the Trocadero Club in Kansas city recently."
