HALLOWEEN
COSTUME IDEAS
ALL NEW FOR
2008 |
Some ideas for Halloween
costumes! Make your own costume, and be creative. MagicTricks.Com can supply costume parts for Halloween
magicians and clowns. The other ideas below are not your typical
suggestions- but they are creative, and fun, and cheap-
and at least you'll be able to see, sit down, or eat in them! |
| Costume
Idea |
What You
Need |
| Magician |
For drama, wear black pants
and a black long-sleeved shirt. If you are traditional, wear a jacket or a cape. Carry an
appearing cane, a drooping
flower, a raccoon
puppet, or a wand.
Even make yourself levitate! |
| Clown |
Wear very colorful mismatched
clothes, especially ones with large stripes or checks. Clothes should be too large for
you. Suspenders are a nice touch, or an oversized necktie. You should wear gloves. Makeup
can be purchased at a costume store. Carry a drooping
flower, raccoon
puppet, or a color changing
scarf. Make anything you touch squeak. |
| Store |
You can actually MAKE money
with this one! Take a sheet and put a hole in the middle for your head. Put the sheet over
you. Now, if you are a grocery store, pin bags of snacks, candy bars, any small items to
the sheet. You can sell the items to other people at a party- for laughs and for profit!
You can be a toy store, a flower shop, even a magic shop! |
| Bulletin
Board |
Take two pieces of poster
board, and tie them together at one end with string, leaving about 6 inches of string
between the sheets to make a "sandwich board". The idea is to wear the boards,
one in front of you, and one in the back. Carry a pad of Post-It notes and a pencil (these
can be fixed to the board if you don't want to carry them). Other people can then post
notes on you as if you were a bulletin board. After you have a lot of notes on you, people
will be fascinated reading your costume! |
| Breath of
Fresh Air |
Wear all white. Put white
powder on (even flour will do). Carry a can of room freshener, and spray it every once in
a while. |
| World's
Most Popular Guy |
Dress however
you'd like, but fashionable would work best here. Ask a (good) female friend to apply a
lot of lipstick to her lips, and carefully press her lips to your face, covering it in
recognizable lip marks. You will probably have to touch the marks up, as the idea is to
have them look like lip imprints, not like blotches. |
| Inspector
Number 12 |
Make a name tag
that says "Inspector #12". Just like the real Inspector #12 who puts the stamp
of approval on clothing, or appliances, etc., you can carry a magnifying glass, put a
pencil behind your ear, and "inspect". You may also have a pad of Post-Its,
printed with "Inspected By #12" and stick them on other people. |
| Waldo |
From the
"Where's Waldo" book craze: Wear a red and white striped long sleeved T-Shirt
and jeans. Red hair would be a nice touch, and of course, nerdy glasses. If you want, wear
a tag that says "I'm Waldo. You've found me". |
| Invisible
Man |
Have a T-shirt printed (or
hand print it yourself) that says "I'm the Invisible Man. You can see me? Well, it's
not a very good costume". |
