The Great Dagmar was an American magician most active during the first half of the 20th Century.
Though he did have a small illusion show, he was most noted as a skilled card expert. In fact, a young John Scarne was his avid pupil around 1918.
By 1952, he had retired from stage performances, and sold all of his large illusions and props to concentrate on his passion, card magic.
