| Kitty Baldwin was the second wife and stage partner of Samri Baldwin, working with him in his famous mentalism act. She performed under various stage names, including Kitty Baldwin and Kate Russell "The Clairvoyant Queen".
When she divorced Samri in 1906, she attempted to continue her career with a one-person mentalist act, but was ultimately not successful. In 1908, she was appearing as "The Famous Rosicrucian Somnambulist" (capitalizing on her previous affiliation with the famous Baldwin act) and as "Mrs. Baldwin Slade" (perhaps trying to fake a connection with the popular Dr. Henry Slade, one of the most famous spirit mediums of the day). She tried in vain to contract Karl Germain as a partner in another two-person mindreading act, then performed for another year or so before fading from public view.
She and Samri had a daughter, Shadow, who had a brief career as a professional psychic in the early 1920s.
