Clara Baldwin was the first wife and stage partner of Samri Baldwin, often taking the part of the "psychic" in their two-person mindreading act. She helped him build a wildly popular act exposing the fraudulent Spiritualist mediums of the day by recreating their "miracles" onstage, in a show they called "Spiritualism Exposed". By 1890, the Baldwins were divorced, and Clara vanished from the public eye.
