Anne Varner Baker was part of the vaudeville variety act called The Merry Makers. Her partner, Gertrude Divine, sang and did imitations, while Anne did magic, shadowography and clay modelling.
Miss Baker is buried in the Actor's Fund section of Kensico Cemetery outside of New York City.
