Airborne 7-Up Can

Incredible effect using a real 7-Up™ can! Start pouring liquid from this can into a glass. As you pour, let go of the glass. The liquid is still pouring from the can into the glass, but the glass is suspended in midair! Wow!

This can is the most popular of the Airborne effects, because you can use clear water pouring from the can and it looks realistic.

7-Up™ was created by Charles Leiper Grigg who launched his St. Louis-based The Howdy Corporation in 1920. Grigg came up with the formula for a lemon-lime soft drink in 1929. The product, originally named "Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda", was launched two weeks before the Wall Street Crash of 1929. It contained lithium citrate, a mood-stabilizing drug. This ingredient was removed in 1950. The drink was formulated with seven flavors plus the bubbles from the drink's carbonation (the bubbles go up).
