Care Tips For Balloons:

Keep your balloons fresh and stretchy!
It's easy. Just put them in a sealed Ziplock-type plastic bag, and store them in your refrigerator. The cool temperature will prevent them from drying out. Don't put them in the freezer, though- freezing temperatures will actually make them dry and brittle!

This is an excellent DVD. Each balloon is well explained in a step by step method with good camera angles so you can really see how they are being made. There are enough balloons on this DVD for any beginner to become proficient very quickly. As a supplement to my face painting and a some magic tricks, these balloons are just what I needed.

I first learned to make balloon animals when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Recently for an acting gig I had to re-learn it, and I rediscovered my love for it. I bought this to help expand my repertoire. The animals you learn on this DVD are pretty dang cool, impressive to see, and surprisingly simple. The instruction is pretty clear, and I like that sometimes even the guy in the video pops the balloons, just to show that that happens, and you need to get used to it. I don't personally like every animal on the video, but there are enough great ones to make it totally worth it. My only complaint is that it doesn't always very clearly illustrate how much of the balloon to leave un-inflated for specific animals. Still it's great. My tip, if you are really interested in learning balloon sculpture, is to get a few instructional books or DVDs, by different authors/companies, because there are multiple ways of making different animals, and you should find the ones you like best, both for process and final result. I own this DVD and a small book. If only I could find that old book from when I was 9.
